What's it all about?
Would you like to enjoy the publicity of having your website address painted on the side of a Boeing 737 airliner traveling around top European destinations on a busy schedule but just can't afford the 350 grand to do it? Well here's your chance to have just that at a fraction of the price.
All you have to do is purchase at least one square on the homepage in which we'll place your company logo and a link to your website. All the squares are individually numbered and 1200 of them are lucky squares. If your logo falls on a lucky square you stand to win a great prize.
What's can I win if I get a lucky square?
If your logo falls on a lucky square you stand to win one of the following prizes:
a) 160 lucky squares will automatically enter you onto the “winner’s grid”. This grid is the same as the grid on the homepage but has only 160 much larger squares. Your logo will be placed on one, making it much more visible to the public. At the end of the project, 6 winning squares from the winner’s grid will be announced and if your logo is on one of them you will win the painting of your web address somewhere on the airliner absolutely free.
b) 1040 lucky squares will win you a large advertising banner on the website linked to your site. The duration of the banners vary from one day to one week. This will make your website hugely visible to the public especially when nameonaplane.com is painted on the aircraft and has press coverage.
Why should I buy squares?
If you've ever tried to find a place on the Internet to advertise your company then you'll appreciate just how expensive and complicated it can be. By advertising here you will be visible to a huge amount of people who visit us because they've seen our unique and crazy project, the first of its kind ever, in some sort of press coverage or even seen the aircraft at a busy airport. What's more it won't cost you anywhere near the same amount as conventional advertising on the Internet. Our squares cost 100 Euro each and you can buy as many as you like. The more you buy, the more striking your advert will be.
What if I can't afford squares?
If you can't afford a single square or you'd like to buy a bundle of squares to be more visible then you can club together with family, friends or business associates and share one or more squares. I will link the square/s to a website which will be part of a package and you can have more than one business advertised within that site.
What if I don't win?
If you don’t get a lucky square, you still have a great chance of seeing your web address painted on the aircraft. After announcing the winners of the lucky squares, the remaining places on the aircraft will be auctioned off in a series of auctions which will be based on company turnovers giving smaller companies an equal chance of winning a place. For example if one auction for small companies offers 4 places on the aircraft to have web addresses painted, then the top 4 bidders will each pay 25% of the highest bid and have their company web addresses painted on the aircraft.
What if I don't even win in an auction?
Everybody's a winner here. If you don't win a lucky square or in an auction, your website will still be visible to the huge amount of people who visit our site thanks to the unveiling of the aircraft which will have press coverage. And guess what: www.nameonaplane.com will appear on the aircraft too bringing even more traffic to your site. All this at the small price of 100 Euro!
On a final note
As a final publicity stunt to bring even more valuable traffic to your site we intend to hold a final auction open to the general public. The winner of the auction will have the plane named after them, their name appearing beneath the captain's cockpit window. I'm sure you can imagine how much public interest this will generate. And all of this will bring that public to your site!
